This interactive talk will introduce you to Mindful photography, a creative low tech, accessible and fun way to gain a fresh perspective on the world around you, improve your well being and your photography skills at the same time. Ruth’s approach encourages people to slow down and create photographs in a conscious, non-judgmental way, taking notice and using the eye and the camera to anchor oneself in the present moment. Ruth will share photographs that tell her story and her work and will offer simple tips and exercises on how to mindfully see the world with fresh eyes.

Victoria is a published wildlife researcher and photographer and guide, Manfrotto Ambassador and judge for British Wildlife Photography Awards and Bird Photographer Of The Year. Nature has been a passion from an early age with photography following closely behind and over the years Victoria has developed her scientific and photographic skills alongside each and is a big advocate for responsible and ethical photography I will take you through some of my more creative nature work covering how I took the shot including lighting and composition. There is a mix of macro and other wildlife and nature photography. This is a more technical talk including camera settings and images from the UK and overseas.

I have always had a passion for landscapes and I hope my prints reflect that passion. Having recently returned from a trip to south America I was blown away by the staggering nature variety and unique landscapes there – some of the most impressive scenery on this planet.
